Republic of Lithuania 14/25

1 General

For the period 27 November 2025 – 6 July 2026 multination- al military forces will use temporary established segregated areas for training, exercises, and other purposes in the Vilnius FIR/UIR of the Republic of Lithuania.

In addition, military activity will be conducted in airspaces published in AIP ENR 5.1 and 5.2 of Lithuania AIP. Details can be found in paragraph 2.

Restrictions apply to non-participating traffic.

2 Activity areas

2.1 New Temporary Reserved/Restricted areas

Training/exercise areas are plannable H24 unless otherwise specified.

No Flight plan buffer zones (FBZ) are established for temporary reserved/restricted areas.

Planned use of the new temporary reserved/restricted areas is specified in remark column/paragraph 4.

2.2 Existing areas

The military training/exercise will also be conducted in the following existing areas as published in Lithuania AIP ENR 5.2:

3 Restrictions

In case of tactical activation ATC vectoring will be applied.

4 Airspace activation schedule

Advanced information on the airspace activation will not be published. Real-time activity information will be provided by appropriate civil ATC unit.

5 Management of the area

The reserved/restricted areas will be managed tactically only.

6 Flight planning information for participating traffic

Participating flights to and from the training/exercise area will be conducted according to flight plans (FPLs) and will have the remark eVA, eAP, SSE in field 18.

Crews of aircraft conducting flights for the exercise shall avoid active reserved/restricted areas, which are not used for the exercise.

7 Flight planning information for non-participating traffic

Flight planning through military training/exercise areas for non- participating traffic are not restricted.

8 Communication/Notification

The Aircrews participating in military activity and executing flights in controlled airspace outside the training/exercise area shall maintain radio communication by VHF radio with the appropriate civil ATC unit, they are subject to GAT flight rules in accordance with SERA requirements.

The Aircrews participating in the training/exercise, executing the flights within activated training/exercise areas shall maintain radio communication with the respectful military control unit.
