﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><e:GEN-1.3 Number="GEN 1.3" IsChapter="true" id="i14395" xmlns:e="http://www.eurocontrol.int/xmlns/AIM/eAIP"><e:Title id="i14399" Updated="No" LastDataDrivenCheck="638924815006680507" xml:space="preserve">ENTRY, TRANSIT AND DEPARTURE OF PASSENGERS AND CREW</e:Title><e:Sub-section Number="1" id="i61165" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i61166" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS</e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61168" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Passengers and crew arriving in or departing from the Republic of Lithuania shall declare the things (goods) carried therewith according to the procedure established by the Customs Department.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61170" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">When needed, the customs has the right to subject all travelers to a thorough customs control. Upon a request of the customs official, a passenger shall unpack all the luggage carried and present things (goods) for the customs control.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61172" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">A passenger is subject to a body search in exceptional cases only, under the permission of the Head of the Customs or his/her deputy, providing there is a reason to suspect. That a passenger is smuggling, committing some other offence or violating the administrative order.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61174" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Transit passengers who do not leave the territory of the transit zone in international airports are not subject to customs control.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61176" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">In case a passenger refuses to pay import duties, taxes or a deposit or to present a security, and refuses his/her goods, also, in case he/she caries things (goods) illegally, things (goods) are detained, and a passenger is called to be liable in the order established by the Laws of the Republic of Lithuania.</x:p></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="2" id="i61184" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i61185" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS</e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61187" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Passengers crossing the state border (destined to a non-Schengen state) shall submit to the State Border Protection Service (SBPS) officials, carrying out border checks, a valid travel document or documents allowing to cross the border; crew members – a passport, pilot’s license or crew member certificate in conformity with the International Civil Aviation Convention signed in Chicago on 7 December 1944 and other documents required for checking.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61189" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">The Schengen Area comprises 29 states:</x:p><x:ul xml:space="preserve" id="i61196" Updated="No" class="li" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><x:li xml:space="preserve" id="i61197" Updated="No" class="li">25 EU member states: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Malta, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania;</x:li><x:li xml:space="preserve" id="i61199" Updated="No" class="li">4 non-EU member states: Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.</x:li></x:ul><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61203" Updated="No" class="Remark05cmitalic" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><x:em xml:space="preserve" id="i321334" Updated="No">Note. In reference to requirements of State Border Protection Service of Lithuanian Republic all passengers who arrive with Israel document – “TRAVEL DOCUMENT IN LIEU NATIONAL PASSPORT” to or departing from Lithuania have to had Schengen Area visa or special order for living in this area.</x:em></x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61209" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><x:strong xml:space="preserve" id="i61210" Updated="No">International and domestic flights within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania</x:strong></x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61214" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Unless otherwise established by international agreements of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Union legal acts and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, passengers arriving to or departing from the Republic of Lithuania shall have a valid travel document. Taking into account the above-mentioned legal acts, in addition to the valid travel document, passengers arriving to/departing from the Republic of Lithuania, subject to their nationality and legal status, shall submit to the SBPS officials at the border zone (border control point) a valid visa or a residence permit of a Schengen state, proof of the purpose of the stay and the means of subsistence and also other supporting documents to check compliance with the conditions of entry.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61220" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Presence of passengers in transit zones of international airports of the Republic of Lithuania is not considered as entry into the territory of the Republic of Lithuania. On the grounds of assessment of the risks related to internal security and illegal immigration, passengers in these zones may be subject to check of travel documents, or in some cases, airport transit visas if such requirement is applicable to them.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61222" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Third country nationals arriving to the Republic of Lithuania shall hold a valid visa of a Schengen state unless otherwise established by legislation.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61226" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">United Nations laissez-passer allows the holder to travel to the Republic of Lithuania without a visa for up to 90 days within half a year.</x:p></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3" id="i61245" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i61246" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">PUBLIC HEALTH REQUIREMENTS</e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61248" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">A passenger on his arrival to the Republic of Lithuania must have his health checked as to dangerous and very dangerous contagious diseases if he is supposed to have arrived from the area that is contaminated by very dangerous contagious disease viruses or bacteria in the incubation period or has contacted such a disease.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61250" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">After receiving information about a dangerous or particularly dangerous infectious disease from crews, intending to land in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, the aircraft shall be diverted for landing at Vilnius international aerodrome (EYVI).</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61252" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">On the arrival in the Republic of Lithuania passengers and crew members must undergo and medical quarantine check first, since border and customs control is carried out only after the medical check is finished and after medical anti-epidemic precaution measures have been taken, if need be.</x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i61255" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">The Ministry of Health Care compiles a list of the countries for which the citizens of Lithuania must be vaccinated prior to their departure.</x:p></e:Sub-section></e:GEN-1.3>
