﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><e:GEN-1.5 Number="GEN 1.5" IsChapter="true" id="i14407" xmlns:e="http://www.eurocontrol.int/xmlns/AIM/eAIP"><e:Title id="i14411" Updated="No" LastDataDrivenCheck="639063942502731194" xml:space="preserve">AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND FLIGHT DOCUMENTS</e:Title><e:Sub-section Number="1" id="i59352" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59353" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">GENERAL</e:Title><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59455" Updated="No" class="Paragraph11" Number="1.1" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Aircraft operating within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania must adhere to the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No 923/2012 and <e:Abbreviation Ref="i18731" Ident="ICAO" Value="ICAO" id="i96096" Updated="No" /> Regional Supplementary Procedures Doc 7030.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59460" Updated="No" class="Paragraph11" Number="1.2" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Only <e:Abbreviation Ref="i21115" Ident="RVSM" Value="RVSM" id="i96092" Updated="No" /> approved aircraft and non-RVSM approved State aircraft shall be permitted to operate in Vilnius <e:Abbreviation Ref="i18068" Ident="FIR" Value="FIR" id="i96093" Updated="No" />/<e:Abbreviation Ref="i22251" Ident="UIR" Value="UIR" id="i96094" Updated="No" />.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59461" Updated="No" class="Paragraph11" Number="1.3" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">RVSM approved aircraft is an aircraft for which the Operator has obtained an RVSM approval, either from the State in which the operator is based, or from the State in which the aircraft is registered.</x:div></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="2" id="i59364" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59365" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO BE CARRIED</e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i59367" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Not applicable.</x:p></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3" id="i59384" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59385" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">EQUIPMENT TO BE CARRIED BY ALL TYPES OF FLIGHTS</e:Title><e:Sub-section Number="3.1" id="i59472" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59473" Updated="No" class="Title11" xml:space="preserve">Requirements for <e:Abbreviation Ref="i21551" Ident="SSR" Value="SSR" id="i96100" Updated="No" /> transponder </e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i59474" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Aircraft flying the Republic of Lithuania’s controlled <e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG1">airspace, uncontrolled </e:Deleted>airspace <e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG2">above the territorial waters, the Curonian Lagoon, above the upper limits of prohibited areas, </e:Deleted>and <e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG3">also the foreign state aircraft flying the </e:Deleted>uncontrolled airspace <e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG4">of the Republic of Lithuania </e:Deleted>shall be equipped with the radio communication <e:Inserted Updated="Inserted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gInsID0E2SAG1">equipment, that enables </e:Inserted><e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG5">facility, which allows to maintain </e:Deleted>two-way communication with the air traffic service provider, and <e:Inserted Updated="Inserted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gInsID0E2SAG2">an </e:Inserted><e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG6">with the </e:Deleted>SSR transponder operating in <e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG7">a </e:Deleted>mode ”A+C” or <e:Inserted Updated="Inserted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gInsID0E2SAG3">“S”, except for aircraft flying exclusively within the ATZ, gliders, powered hang gliders, free balloons, and simple aircraft. Gliders, powered hang gliders, free balloons, and simple aircraft that are not equipped with an SSR transponder must have other identification equipment recognized as suitable for this purpose by the air traffic service provider </e:Inserted><e:Deleted Updated="Deleted" xml:space="preserve" Updated-ref="amdt111" id="gDelID0E2SAG8">“S</e:Deleted>(see <x:a id="i281975" Updated="No" LastDataDrivenCheck="639063942503944885" href="EY-GEN-1.2-en-US.html#i14795">GEN 1.2</x:a>, 1).<x:br xml:space="preserve" id="i418991" Updated="Inserted" Updated-ref="amdt111" /></x:p></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3.2" id="i59479" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59480" Updated="No" class="Title11" xml:space="preserve">Requirements for basic <e:Abbreviation Ref="i20873" Ident="RNAV" Value="RNAV" id="i96098" Updated="No" /> equipment</e:Title><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59503" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.2.1" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">An aircraft, other than State aircraft, operating within controlled airspace in the Vilnius FIR/UIR between <e:Abbreviation Ref="i18089" Ident="FL" Value="FL" id="i185305" Updated="No" /> 095 and FL 660 except <e:Abbreviation Ref="i21337" Ident="SID" Value="SID" id="i96104" Updated="No" />s and <e:Abbreviation Ref="i21586" Ident="STAR" Value="STAR" id="i96105" Updated="No" />s, shall be equipped with, as a minimum, RNAV equipment meeting <e:Abbreviation Ref="i20873" Ident="RNAV" Value="RNAV" id="i384162" Updated="No" /> 5 in accordance with the requirements set out in the ICAO Regional Supplementary Procedures Doc 7030.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59506" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.2.2" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Operators intending to use the <e:Abbreviation Ref="i20411" Ident="P-RNAV" Value="P-RNAV" id="i96108" Updated="No" /> procedures must possess specific operational approval from their own State of Registry.</x:div></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3.3" id="i59484" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59485" Updated="No" class="Title11" xml:space="preserve"> Requirements for 8.33 KHZ channel spacing radio equipment</e:Title><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59509" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.3.1" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">The carriage and operation of <e:Abbreviation Ref="i22390" Ident="VHF" Value="VHF" id="i185306" Updated="No" /> 8.33 KHZ channel spacing aircraft radio equipment suitable to maintain continuous two-way radiotelephony communication with the appropriate ATC units is mandatory for <e:Abbreviation Ref="i18782" Ident="IFR" Value="IFR" id="i185310" Updated="No" />/<e:Abbreviation Ref="i22383" Ident="VFR" Value="VFR" id="i185311" Updated="No" /> flights within the Vilnius FIR/UIR.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59512" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.3.2" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">All operators and agents acting on their behalf shall ensure that the letter Y is inserted in item 10 of the flight plan for aircraft equipped with radios having the 8.33 KHZ channel spacing capability.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59515" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.3.3" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Exemptions from above mentioned equipment are described in <x:a id="i276658" Updated="No" LastDataDrivenCheck="639063942504403895" href="EY-ENR-1.8-en-US.html#i14855">ENR 1.8</x:a>.</x:div></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3.4" id="i59489" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59490" Updated="No" class="Title11" xml:space="preserve">Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS) II equipment</e:Title><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i59518" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">All civil turbine-powered airplanes having two or more engines, with a maximum take-off mass exceeding 5 700 kg or authorized to carry more than 19 passengers shall be equipped with ACAS II, then planning to perform flights over the territory of the Republic of Lithuania. </x:p><x:p xml:space="preserve" id="i59521" Updated="No" class="Paragraph" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">ACAS II equipment shall be installed in aircraft in conformity with the provision of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 1332/2011 of 16 December 2011 and used under the operating procedures prescribed in SERA.11014 of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2016/1185 of 20 July 2016.</x:p></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="3.5" id="i59494" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59495" Updated="No" class="Title11" xml:space="preserve">Mandatory carriage of emergency locator transmitter (ELT)</e:Title><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59524" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.5.1" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">All aeroplanes, helicopters, sailplanes and balloons, except ultra-light aircraft, shall be equipped with an emergency locator transmitter operating on 121.500 MHZ and 406 MHZ according to the requirements of ICAO Annex 10, Volume III, Section 5.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59527" Updated="No" class="Paragraph111" Number="3.5.2" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">In conformity with the provisions set out in Commission Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 of 5 October 2012 aeroplanes shall be equipped with:</x:div><x:ul xml:space="preserve" id="i59529" Updated="No" class="li" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><x:li xml:space="preserve" id="i62676" Updated="No" class="li">an ELT of any type when first issued with an individual the original certificate of airworthiness on or before 1 July 2008;</x:li><x:li xml:space="preserve" id="i62677" Updated="No" class="li">an ELT, when first issued with an individual the original certificate of airworthiness after 1 July 2008;</x:li><x:li xml:space="preserve" id="i62680" Updated="No" class="li">or survival ELT (ELT(S)) or a personal locator beacon (PLB), carried by a crew member or a passenger when certified for a maximum passenger seating configuration of six or less.</x:li></x:ul></e:Sub-section></e:Sub-section><e:Sub-section Number="4" id="i59499" Updated="No" class="Body"><e:Title id="i59500" Updated="No" class="Title1" xml:space="preserve">FM IMMUNITY EQUIPMENT STANDARDS</e:Title><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59536" Updated="No" class="Paragraph11" Number="4.1" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">An operator shall ensure that VHF communication equipment, <e:Abbreviation Ref="i18796" Ident="ILS" Value="ILS" id="i185313" Updated="No" /> Localizer and <e:Abbreviation Ref="i22448" Ident="VOR" Value="VOR" id="i185315" Updated="No" /> receivers installed on aircraft to be operated in complying with the FM immunity performance standards.</x:div><x:div xml:space="preserve" id="i59539" Updated="No" class="Paragraph11" Number="4.2" xmlns:x="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Acceptable equipment standards, consistent with ICAO Annex 10, are contained in EUROCAE Minimum Operational Performance Specifications, documents ED-22B for VOR receivers, ED-23B for VHF communication receivers and ED-46B for <e:Abbreviation Ref="i19238" Ident="LOC" Value="LOC" id="i185317" Updated="No" /> receivers and the corresponding RTCA documents DO-186, DO-195 and DO-196.</x:div></e:Sub-section></e:GEN-1.5>
