Arkangelo Conference and Art Centre, Maironio g. 11, Vilnius, Lithuania
The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, the European GNSS Agency (GSA) and State Enterprise „Oro navigacija” were pleased to host the Seminar on Europe’s satellite navigation programmes: EGNOS and Galileo. How they are benefitting Lithuania?
Satellite data-based technologies and applications are widely acknowledged as drivers for efficiency, productivity, reliability and economic growth. The European Union has made significant investments in the creation of Europe’s independent satellite navigation system, Galileo, and making space–related data available free to users.
This Seminar demonstrated how space is the centre of today’s technological revolution and explain the benefits that the European flagship space programmes in satellite navigation are bringing to our daily lives. The participants got familiar with the European space programmes EGNOS and Galileo as well as with satellite-based applications, projects and practices. The detailed Workshop Programme is provided below.
