The Aeronautical information publication (AIP) of Lithuania and other aeronautical information products on behalf of the Republic of the Lithuania are published by Public limited liability company Oro Navigacija (hereinafter Oro navigacija AB) under the supervision of public institution Transport Competence Agency.
The AIP is prepared in accordance with the Standards and Recommended Practices of Annex 15 to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), PANS-AIM (Doc 10066) and the Aeronautical Information Services Manual (Doc 8126). Charts contained in the AIP are produced in accordance with ICAO Annex 4 and the Aeronautical Chart Manual (Doc 8697). Differences from ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices and Procedures are presented in Section GEN 1.7.
The AIP is available in electronic form (eAIP) in company’s website www.ans.lt, in Lithuanian and English languages and in Published AIP Management System (PAMS) of European AIS Database (EAD) of EUROCONTROL.
The AIP is the major element of the Aeronautical Information Products details of which are given in Section GEN 3.1.
The AIP is divided into three parts, General (GEN), En-route (ENR) and Aerodromes (AD), each is divided into sections and subsections containing various types of information items.
Part 1 - General (GEN)
Part 1 consists of five sections containing information as briefly described hereafter.
Preface; Record of AIP Amendments; Record of AIP Supplements; Checklist of AIP pages; List of hand amendments to the AIP and the Table of Contents to Part 1.
GEN 1. National regulations and requirements
Designated authorities; Entry, transit and departure of aircraft; Entry, transit and departure of passengers and crew; Entry, transit and departure of cargo; Aircraft instruments, equipment and flight documents; Summary of National regulations and international agreements/conventions; Differences from ICAO Standards, Recommended Practices and Procedures.
GEN 2. Tables and codes
Measuring system, aircraft markings, holidays; Abbreviations used in AIS publications; Chart symbols; Location indicators; List of radio navigation aids; Conversion of Units of Measurement; Sunrise/Sunset.
GEN 3. Services
Aeronautical information services; Aeronautical charts; Air traffic services (ATS); Communication and navigation services; Meteorological services and Search and rescue (SAR).

An established regular interval for AIRAC AIP amendment is published annually, see in AIC for publication dates.
